Parag Goyal, MD, MSc
Dr. Goyal is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with joint appointments in the Division of Cardiology (as a member of the heart failure faculty) and the Division of General Internal Medicine (as a core member of the health services research faculty). Dr. Goyal is the Founding Director of the Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction Program and is the Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Goyal’s research program is focused on improving outcomes in older adults withheart failure. His program is supported by grants from the National Institute on Aging, the American Heart Association, the Fan Fox & Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, and the New York Community Trust. In 2020, Dr. Goyal received the Paul Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award, which supports his work deve;loping a novel approach to deprescribing among older adults with multimorbidity and polypharmacy. Nationally, Dr. Goyal is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, where he currentlyserves as the Chair of the Geriatric Cardiology Early Career Professionals Working Group. He also serves as the Geriatric Cardiology Section Editor for the Journal of Cardiac Failure, and sits on the Editorial Board for theJournal of the American Geriatrics Society.
